We started this Primary school in the year 2012 with the help of Mr. Jacky Degryse, from Belgium. It’s situated about 150 kilometre South of Kolkata. It’s a remote village where the men are involved in agricultural activities. There are no industries. Some of them go for fishing by boats in the Bay of Bengal but mostly go to Kolkata in search of livelihood, work in good transport in market place. So the people are really very poor.
It has class from nursery to standard 4. The number of students is 132 and the number of teachers is 7. There are no primary school in this village and we are providing better quality education against a token fees. We also offer study material.
