We started the goat rearing project for the women of Gorjee and Konkondighi. So far we distributed 40 goats amount 25 women. The goat rearing project are organised with members of Self Help Groups who get a goat and return one kid to give the same to another women of the group. Thus the number of beneficiaries grow. The women can sell the milk. The goat bear baby goat after 8 months. After 3 years the number of goat grows faster and they can sell the kids as well and can earn some money every year.
We train the women before giving them the goat and follow monitor the vaccination of the kids and the goat. But unfortunately we have noted quite a few goats are killed by accidents or stolen. Thus the project suffers but still it has brought some good results.
