Human Wave started working informally in 1997 and was officially registered on 3rd November 1998 under West Bengal Society Registration Act 1961. It is also regd. under Foreign Contribution Registration Act 2010 and 12 A (central) income tax (exemption) act and 80G state income tax exemption act. It’s also registered with NITI Aayog (central Govt.).
HUMAN WAVE aspires to alter the lives of the deprived people of the society and bring them in the mainstream of the society with dignity. It envisions promoting peace, sustainable development, respect for environment and establishing solidarity between community and international voluntarism.
Our mission is to indentify disadvantaged / poor communities and share with them our time, knowledge, and other resources as per their requirement. We believe that human values are the most fundamental element of social development. To try to be the best possible connector between the Haves and the Have-nots.
HUMAN WAVE is a Non-Government, Non-Profit, Non-political, Secular, Voluntary Organization committed to promote the standard and the quality of life of the disadvantaged and marginalized people of our society.
Human Wave works at Slums of Hooghly District (near Kolkata) and in remote villages of 24 Paraganas South. We work for integrated development of the disadvantaged community with a focus on promotion of Health and Education of the Mother and Child. We also work for promotion of Peace, Social Justice, Sustainable development and environmental issues with adolescents and youths.
Philosophy: To overcome the limitations of identities, To promote spirituality, To reduce consumerism, competitions, fear, Jealousy and hatred. To promote goodwill and respect for all people and environment. To reduce Violence and promote Solidarity and Peace in the Globe.
